Azie – Media

Why the heck was I having lunch in Media? Because of jury duty, of course! Otherwise, it wouldn’t make much logistical sense for me to be hauling my ass all the way over to those parts. But you know, civic duty doesn’t wait! I decided to go classy and lunch at Azie on my first day. It’s very attractive and fancy. I felt like a big grub hanging out there.
The miso soup was quite tasty. The scallions were chopped super fine, which I totally dug.
One of their lunch specials is a sushi roll set with soup, side salad, and two rolls.I picked the spicy tuna roll and the shrimp tempura roll. These weren’t bad or anything, they just weren’t particularly good. They were just totally middle of the road. Really, when you’re surrounded by all the shiny sparkling prettiness, you expect the food to be worthy. But I was so not impressed with it. I don’t know, it was just blah. The salad had a zippy little dressing but the soup and salad really shouldn’t be the highlights of my meal, which they were. Service was fine.

Japanese Fast Food With Family

My brother lives near this japanese market in columbus, so that’s where we do a lot of the grocery shopping, that and the korean market nearby. This also has a little eat-in japanese food restaurant as well, tensuke express. And people, they have ramen.
My mom and my bro both got the combo meal of beef bowl and soba. If you need more food after this, then I certainly hope you are a sumo wrestler.
My sis-in-law got the pork cutlet. I think that’s her standard order. It comes with miso soup and a heap of colorful veggies. I really like that they try to sneak you into eating some veggies with your giant hunk of pork.
As for me, I had to get my ramen in, while I could, so I got the kimchi ramen. And yes, it was delicious! This place is one of the few reasons that I’m glad my brother lives in columbus!

Wasabi Bay

Since I was working in a real office for the week, I was able to go out for lunch, which I typically never do at home. I headed to Wasabi Bay with the girls.
The lunch deals here are crazy and cheap. The small plates all come with miso soup or salad. Here are the pork gyoza, which also had a little side salad. The spider roll. The rolls are a little smaller than the regular ones, but the prices are even teenier! Here’s the chicken karaage skewer. This was topped on some side salad too. I really liked the surprise greens and the slightly spicy dressing that came on it.
This agedashi tofu was good and huge. And it all ended up being like $6 a person. Seriously. They’re practically giving this food away, because it really would cost you more in raw ingredients if you wanted to make this on your own. If I worked in my proper corporate office, I could do this every day.
