Azie – Media

Why the heck was I having lunch in Media? Because of jury duty, of course! Otherwise, it wouldn’t make much logistical sense for me to be hauling my ass all the way over to those parts. But you know, civic duty doesn’t wait! I decided to go classy and lunch at Azie on my first day. It’s very attractive and fancy. I felt like a big grub hanging out there.
The miso soup was quite tasty. The scallions were chopped super fine, which I totally dug.
One of their lunch specials is a sushi roll set with soup, side salad, and two rolls.I picked the spicy tuna roll and the shrimp tempura roll. These weren’t bad or anything, they just weren’t particularly good. They were just totally middle of the road. Really, when you’re surrounded by all the shiny sparkling prettiness, you expect the food to be worthy. But I was so not impressed with it. I don’t know, it was just blah. The salad had a zippy little dressing but the soup and salad really shouldn’t be the highlights of my meal, which they were. Service was fine.

Japanese Fast Food With Family

My brother lives near this japanese market in columbus, so that’s where we do a lot of the grocery shopping, that and the korean market nearby. This also has a little eat-in japanese food restaurant as well, tensuke express. And people, they have ramen.
My mom and my bro both got the combo meal of beef bowl and soba. If you need more food after this, then I certainly hope you are a sumo wrestler.
My sis-in-law got the pork cutlet. I think that’s her standard order. It comes with miso soup and a heap of colorful veggies. I really like that they try to sneak you into eating some veggies with your giant hunk of pork.
As for me, I had to get my ramen in, while I could, so I got the kimchi ramen. And yes, it was delicious! This place is one of the few reasons that I’m glad my brother lives in columbus!

Coco Thai Bistro – Narberth

Coco Thai Bistro is a cute little thai joint in downtown Narberth. They have a decent lunch deal where you get a soup or appetizer and an entree. It’s not as good of a deal as some of the other joints (I’m thinking of you, Chiangmai in Conshy), but it’s still pretty solid. It’s a typical small, family-run joint, decorated with, well, as you could have guessed, lots of elephants
The coconut soup… with coconut milk, veggies, chicken, lemon grass, you know the drill. If you like coconut milk, good for you. If you don’t, like me, then stay away!
I wasn’t feeling soup that day so I went with the veggie dumplings. Aren’t these adorable? They tasted great too. They look a little weird though, but don’t let that dissuade you. They’re delish and served with a sweet chili sauce. I loved the pickled cucumbers too.
The thai basil with tofu and a bunch of veggies. You know this is good.
I love me some drunken noodles so of course, that’s what I got. I got it with chicken and I scarfed this all down!
This was the coconut tart, the dessert special of the day. It had a flaky bottom, raisins, walnuts, brown sugar, and coconut shavings, and was apparently very good and delicious. They definitely get points for presentation. We’re pretty sure a family runs this place. It was sad that we were the only people in the dining room during our visit because the food is quite great and so is the service. If ever in Narberth, stop by for some delicious thai!
