After hiking 70+ miles over 8 days, we rewarded ourselves by heading back to Vegas and stuffing our gourds at the Studio B Buffet at the M Resort. With the grave number of sandwiches we were forced to eat during the majority of the trip, we’d certainly earned this ticket to gluttony. We were there to catch the tail end of lunch.
So the place is rather ginormous, with all kinds of different stations. There’s even free wine, as much as you can drink. So it’d be fairly easy to get tanked her.
There’s all sorts of random asian food… sushi, thai, even korean bbq and kimchi.
They had this tilapia grilled on bamboo served with mango salsa. I loved it!
Mexican food!
Mediterranean food! Even stuffed grape leaves!
The fried food contingent was well represented.
So was the bbq contingent.
There was also a variety of cold cuts, cheeses, and cold salads of all kinds.
There was even some fruit for those of you healthier folk out there.

Dessert was super fun! There was a little bit of everything! In addition to gelato, there were tons of cakes and pastries and cookies and such. And well, we’re not going to lie to you, we tried pretty much everything! None of it was truly exciting except for the macaroons. They were the best! And in general, this buffet was great. The food is of high quality, fairly fresh, and especially for lunch and the fact that it includes wine, a pretty awesome bargain. We stuffed ourselves silly, and we didn’t feel bad about it!

Outside of Zion National Park, the town actually has a bunch of restaurants and shops. After looking up some reviews, we went to The Flying Monkey. We had no idea what it was, but it sounded cool. Well, they describe themselves as a place for pizza, pasta, beer, and sandwiches.
We went with the pizza and got the pizza lasagna, which is topped with crushed tomatoes, wood oven roasted fennel sausage, roasted mushrooms, ricotta cheese, mozzarella, parmigiano reggiano, basil, and evoo. Oh man, we both absolutely loved this pizza! We loved the toppings, the dough, the crust, everything! It’s cooked in a wood fired oven and so the bottom was crisp but the dough was still soft and doughy. We agreed that this was probably the best meal we’d had on our entire trip. We highly recommend it!

Zion National Park was our last stop, and it was the biggest park, by far. There are two main sections and in the main section, the more popular one, you have to take a shuttle system throughout most of it. It’s convenient and informative! One of the most well-known hikes there is Angel’s Landing. It’s a long climb up… a long, dangerous, and treacherous climb up. But it’s totally awesome and totally worth it.
And when you get to the top, you can eat your crappy supermarket sandwich at 1500 ft. Anything crappy ends up being super delicious.
There are a bunch of chipmunks and squirrels up there with you to be your dining companions. You’re not supposed to feed them, but a bunch of kids were feeding them sunflower seeds. Yeah, it was pretty adorable.
Zion is one of the few parks where there are some facilities for food inside the actual park. We even got some soft serve.
They also don’t sell any bottled water there. Why? Because they have delicious unadultered and free spring water. So bring some refillable bottles or hydration packs and drink in some of the free nature.
There’s also a beer garden! Because you know, you can’t bond with nature unless you’re drunk?

" list. So of course, I decided to try them all. Join me for this 15-post series, as I test out each of these cocktails to see just how worthy they are.
